Designer Virgil Abloh’s high fashion streetwear brand Off-White releases its second HOME collection, with an exclusive launch on luxury online marketplace 1stDibs. The collection comprises over 80 new products inspired by Off-White’s garments, featuring the brand’s signature “swimming man,” “off-hand,” and “off-cross” iconography. “For this special collection, I’ve taken familiar items in the home and produced them in a way akin to my personal signatures prioritizing craftsmanship – celebrating the ideals of both the sophisticated modernity of Off-White and the timeless luxury of the 1stDibs shopping experience,” stated Virgil Abloh. The HOME collection is conceptualized by “taking the familiar and making it new” – for dressing all rooms of the home. An overarching colour palette of neutrals in black-grey-beige tones with fluorescent pink and orange accents feature in this extensive offering.
Starting with the entrance of the home, the collection holds three doormats in assorted models and sizes to adapt to different spaces and needs, as well as umbrellas with clever quotes characteristic of the brand. For the living room, the HOME Collection holds a series of mohair throw blankets and pillows, the design inspiration for which comes from Off-White’s ready-to-wear collections. Additionally, the collection features cylindrical-shaped upholstered stools covered in classic Off-White fabric, with wallpaper offerings in identical patterns. The HOME Collection’s kitchen wares include graphic table furnishings, alongside the collection’s iconic ceramics. The collection also includes bed furnishings and bath accessories.
“We’re thrilled to provide shoppers with the first access to a truly remarkable collection of home products from Off-White,” said Cristina Miller, Chief Commercial Officer of 1stDibs. “Especially during these times, when we are increasingly seeing fashion influence home and design, Virgil Abloh’s visions are perfectly positioned to help transform our familiar material world into something extraordinary and conceptual, a boost many a quarantined design lover will embrace.”
