VIENNA DESIGN WEEK

From 26th September to 10th October 2025, Vienna Design Week returns as Austria’s leading multidisciplinary design festival, celebrating its role in shaping societal coexistence through design. Since its inception in 2007, the festival has become a cornerstone of Vienna’s design landscape, hosting approximately 200 events and drawing over 40,000 visitors. Vienna Design Week explores design’s broader impact, emphasising sustainability and inclusivity, moving beyond aesthetics to foster innovative, community-focused practices.

The festival engages with different districts and venues, addressing site-specific challenges with local collaboration. It features a robust education program and signature formats like Stadtarbeit and Urban Food & Design, creating participatory experiences that invite a broad audience to interact with forward-thinking design concepts. Operated as a non-profit, Vienna Design Week is supported by public funding, sponsorships, and exhibitor fees, offering most of its events free of charge to ensure accessibility and community engagement.
