A modern, elegant luxury footwear brand—Italian designer Edgardo Osorio’s Aquazzura—brings in a minty, fresh wave of retail experience with the brand’s newest flagship store on the iconic New Bond Street, London. Similar to the aesthetics and comfort of Aquazzura’s wearable collections, the flagship store is welcoming, vibrant and warm from the get-go! Since the brand’s debut in 2012, an innovative style of retail has been set by Aquazzura, however, the New Bond Street store is a new ball-game altogether.
“It’s a dream come true to open a little oasis of Italian style on New Bond Street. I wanted the new boutique Aquazzura to be full of small personal details, such as a part of my archive of sketches, and to bring joy to the street. Each floor has its own personality and colour palette.” – Edgardo Osorio
The first glimpse gives us a three-storey donned in an all-white façade that seamlessly combines the original historical flair and the tactfully acquired effortless elegance; it is as if a white canvas is provided for Aquazzura’s refined, joyful spirit.
Adding to the beauty and ambience of its facade are the interiors, at par with creativity, and so are the collectibles displayed inside. It houses all of the brand’s collections – footwear, bags, jewellery, and homeware. One can almost immediately feel the magic of Osorio’s brainchild in the boutique’s design paired with Dutch artist and interior designer Marie-Anne Oudejans.
Osorio and Oudejans have aptly selected a Mediterranean-inspired palette for the interiors—it’s an energetic mix of aqua, pink and yellow, seamlessly linked by the brand’s iconic stripe motif. Each floor of the boutique embraces a distinct colour scheme and showcases hand-painted decorations, making a vibrant and artful statement.
As one passes the distinct entrance of black and white awnings and wrapped columns, the visitor is opened up to the brand’s signature colour palette. Bold graphic black and white displays put the footwear collection on a pedestal, quite literally! The aqua-toned versions of the same stripe and chevron patterns also decorate the civil structures inside, underpinning Aquazzura’s sophisticated visual profile.
The first floor is all pink, paired with ceilings that are hand-painted with a trellis motif. Glass displays and intricate niches are used to showcase the latest handbag and jewellery collections.

In a citrus-like paradiscal second and last floor the Aquazzura Casa collection is displayed. It offers an interesting variety of colourful textiles, timeless porcelain collectibles and contemporary table accessories, all resonating with Aquazzura’s new era as a lifestyle brand.
