BANGKOK ART BIENNALE

The Bangkok Art Biennale returns with its fourth edition, Nurture Gaia, opened on 24 October 2024 and will be running through 25 February 2025. Centered around the figure of Mother Earth—a universal emblem of life and resilience—the biennale delves into themes of ecology, femininity, and biodiversity through the work of 45 local and international artists. Set against the stunning backdrop of nine venues, including historic temples like Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and Wat Prayoon, a quarter of the showcased works will be debuting to the world for the first time.

Nurture Gaia  will feature artists such as Adel Abdessemed, Choi Jeong Hwa, Isaac Chong Wai, Camille Henrot, Lisa Reihana, and Taiki Sakpisit. In addition to the artworks, the biennale will hold symposia and performances during its opening week, reinforcing Bangkok’s presence on the global art stage with a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary artistic expression.
