NYC X DESIGN

The NYCxDESIGN Festival returns from May 15–21, 2025, showcasing New York City’s design scene. Under the direction of Executive Director Ilene Shaw, the festival strengthens its partnership with ICFF (May 18–20) while collaborating with local hubs, neighbourhoods, and cultural institutions citywide. This year, NYCxDESIGN will reintroduce the popular public Design Pavilion installations, offering an immersive experience for both locals and visitors.

NYCxDESIGN also launched its inaugural Keynote series, hosting discussions with leading brands like IBM, Adobe, and Samsung at landmark venues, from the MoMA to the Guggenheim. In 2025, the festival aims to deepen engagement with NYC’s creative community and spotlight global design talent with continued international participation, now including Estonia, Switzerland, and Finland alongside longstanding participants Italy, France, and Argentina. NYCxDESIGN remains a vibrant celebration of design, culture, and New York’s role as a global design capital.
