As one of the first artisanal paper studios in the country, Oorjaa has learnt its craft through a journey of discovery. Along the way, they have been joined by people who share our curiosity of material and passion to create not just lamps, but spaces that glow from within. From just two people and excited forays into paper making, Oorjaa has grown into a family of over 50 artisans and 3 designers today, lighting up homes, hotels, art installations and more across the world. Oorjaa started their journey in one of Bangalore’s first green buildings, with a commitment to save more energy than they use
Oorjaa’s sustainable lights are not just a source of illumination, but also a testament to the brand’s commitment to creating a sustainable future. Handcrafted with care and precision in their workshop, each light is a unique masterpiece that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. In addition to using waste materials, the brand also makes sure not to waste any water during the manufacturing process. They implement water-saving measures and strive to minimize our water usage as much as possible.
