Design Pataki brings together the Indian design community in an endeavor to raise Covid-relief funds for rural India. By leveraging our position as an influential platform for Indian design, we garnered donations from decor brands, furniture companies, and vendors who were given the chance to get featured on Design Pataki. We were supported doing so by some of the foremost designers and architects in the country – Ajay Patil, Ali Baldiwala, Apoorva Shroff, Arjun Rathi, Ekta and Rajiv Parekh, Farah Ahmed, Dhaval Shellugar, Iram Sultan, Jannat Vasi, Jason Wadhwani, Maithili Raut, Priya Lakhotia, Rohit Bhoite, Sahil Jain, Shantanu Garg, Vaishali Kamdar, all of whom raised awareness for the cause and put a spotlight on the design brands that donated.

Through the collective efforts of Design Pataki and the extended design community who displayed immense generosity by both donating to the cause and tirelessly amplifying it, we managed to raise upwards of Rs. 19,50,000 for Mann Deshi, a 25 year old organization dedicated to the economic empowerment of rural women. The organization has been involved in Covid relief efforts ever since the pandemic hit in March 2020. Their focus in the past few weeks has been on ensuring that families across the Satara district in Maharashtra get medical treatment and support, working closely with front-line health care workers to reach everyone in need at the grassroots, and securing medical equipment and funds for the hospitals they support.

“I’m eternally grateful to all the brands and individuals that donated so generously. It has been incredible to see the Indian design community band together and work towards a noble goal in such dire times,” says Esha Gupta, founder, Design Pataki.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who donated. While our fundraiser has ended, those looking to donate to Mann Deshi can do so here.
